Job summary

Kroger is seeking a store employee to maintain pricing documentation and related files, test scans for all vendors, and ensure accuracy across pricing systems. The role supports merchandising and operational integrity, with a focus on compliance and timely reporting.

The position requires strong communication, people-management ability, and the capacity to handle varying shifts including weekends/holidays. A proactive approach to process improvements is valued to support store operations.

Qualifications

• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated aptitude to manage people and organize workloads.
• Able to tactfully & calmly handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers.
• Understanding of all key components of department operations (i.e., managing people, merchandising, inventory management, shrink control, customer services, labor scheduling, expense control, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Maintain store pricing documentation accuracy.
• Maintain store UPC File (price change, deletion, new items).
• Check in and test scan all vendors.
• Maintain weekly ad item in scanning file.
• Provide housekeeping in computer room (filters, floor cleaning, battery backup checks, power fail simulations).
• Copy PLU File twice a week.
• Maintain documentation on all retail accounting.
• Test scan entire store every six to eight weeks.
• Maintain Special Report File (A.C. Nielsen, Sami, Special Item Movement Report).
• Promote, communicate and implement company initiatives to direct reports in a positive manner.
• Perform any and all duties as assigned.
• Maintain flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights; willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.
