Cushman & Wakefield is hiring a Lead Cleaner for the 1st shift in Maine. The role involves a variety of custodial duties under the Custodial Manager or Supervisor, including floor care, window cleaning, bathroom stocking, and trash removal.

The ideal candidate can follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and function well in a team. No prior cleaning experience is required; training provided. Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Basic cleaning responsibilities requires no previous experience.
• Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
• Use a portable vacuum cleaner – backpack style.
• Requires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors, and other surfaces (inside buildings).
• Use floor buffers and shampoo machines including attachments.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot clean daily and shampoo rugs as directed.
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces; wash windowsills and interior glass.
• Clean bathrooms and restock supplies; disinfect and maintain dispensers.
• Monitor for defects (e.g., urinals, lights) and report to supervisors.
• Collect and dispose of building trash daily; replace liners.
• Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting and polishing.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
