Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Lead to supervise facility operations, delegating tasks and guiding staff when the Manager is away. The role focuses on maintaining clean, safe buildings, operating specialized equipment, and handling cleaning chemicals in line with established standards.

The Lead will train new hires, manage daily schedules, monitor client communications, and ensure timely completion of requests.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned work schedules, route cards as directed. Report any barriers.
• Provide leadership and direction to team members.
• Maintain open communication between field employees and management, and monitor and document client communications.
• Assist with making daily and weekly work schedules.
• Oversee and perform cleaning operations in the assigned building.
• Take care of keys and access cards for the property.
• Report damaged, broken and out-of-work features or items.
• Oversee and perform additional service requests (tag jobs) in the assigned building.
• Oversee the quality of jobs and confirm completion with the Area Manager.
• Provide training for all new hires assigned to the building in accordance with onboarding procedures.
• Complete and validate any time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
• Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• 1 year of similar work experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
