Job summary

Salt Lake City Corporation in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking a Clean-up Equipment Operator III to operate a wide range of light to heavy construction equipment for city cleanup projects. You will lead a crew, rotate among machines, and assist in garbage collection when needed, with on-call snow removal duties.

Candidates must have CDL Class A (or obtain within six months), two years of heavy equipment experience, and flagger certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Three years paid work experience including two years operating heavy equipment or commercial vehicles.
• One year operating landscaping machinery, snow removal equipment, bobcat and heavy-duty pickup with trailer towing.
• CDL Class A or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Flagger Certification may be required.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance and minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a full range of light to heavy construction equipment for cleanup projects.
• Rotate between equipment based on need and assist on garbage collection when required.
• Lead work crews and coordinate with supervisor; transport signs and barricade gear.
• Perform snow removal duties; document equipment condition and maintenance.
