You will serve as a strategic claims advisor for clients with complex management and professional liability exposures, overseeing D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime, E&O, Cyber, and related products. You will guide claims lifecycle activities, work with brokers, underwriters, insurers, and defense counsel to achieve optimal outcomes, and lead client stewardship and trend analyses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; insurance certification preferred (e.g., CPCU, AIC).
  • JD preferred.
  • 5-10 years of specialty claims handling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead handling of complex and high-severity claims (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime, E&O, Cyber).
  • Review notices, letters, subpoenas, investigations, and lawsuits to identify coverage.
  • Develop and execute claim strategies to maximize policyholder recovery.
  • Coordinate communications among clients, insurers, defense counsel, and brokers.
  • Monitor insurer investigations and defense activities for timely resolution.
  • Negotiate coverage disputes, defense cost advancements, settlements, and allocations.

This position is responsible for managing and advocating claims involving Directors & Officers Liability (D&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Fiduciary Liability, Crime/Fidelity, Cyber Liability, Professional Liability (E&O), Kidnap & Ransom, and other executive risk-related products.The role requires a deep understanding of policy interpretation, coverage analysis, claims strategy, insurer negotiations, and litigation management. The Senior Claims Advocate acts as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance throughout the claim lifecycle while collaborating closely with brokers, underwriters, insurers, defense counsel, and other stakeholders to achieve optimal claim outcomes.**How You Will Contribute:*** Lead the handling of complex and high-severity claims involving: Directors & Officers (D&O) Liability; Employment Practices Liability (EPL); Fiduciary Liability; Crime/Fidelity; Professional Liability / Errors & Omissions (E&O); Cyber.* Review claim notices, demand letters, subpoenas, regulatory investigations, and lawsuits to identify potential insurance coverage.* Report new matters under all applicable policies and assist clients with preservation of insurance rights.* Develop and execute claim strategies designed to maximize policyholder recovery.* Coordinate and manage communications among clients, insurers, defense counsel, coverage counsel, forensic firms, and other claim stakeholders.* Monitor insurer investigations, coverage positions, and claim handling activities to ensure timely and fair claim resolution.* Negotiate coverage of disputes, defense cost advancements, settlements, and allocation issues with insurers.* Analyze policy language, endorsements, exclusions, and program structures to identify coverage opportunities and potential gaps.* Provide technical coverage analysis and guidance regarding management of liability, professional liability, and cyber insurance policies.* Support policy placement teams by identifying claim trends and recommending enhancements to policy language and program structure.* Serve as primary claims of contact for assigned clients and broker teams.* Build and maintain trusted relationships with risk managers, general counsel, executives, finance leaders, and other client stakeholders.* Conduct claim reviews, stewardship meetings, and claim trend analyses for clients.* Provide proactive updates regarding claim developments, emerging exposures, and market trends.* Support new business opportunities by participating in client presentations, RFP responses, and prospect meetings.**Skills & Experience to be Successful:*** Bachelor's degree required; insurance certification preferred (e.g., CPCU, AIC).* JD preferred.* 5- 10 years of specialty claims handling experience.* Strong coverage interpretation and litigation management skills.* Strong knowledge of D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime, E&O and Cyber insurance products.* Strong client-facing and relationship management abilities.* Excellent analytical and communication skills.**Pay Range**$84,000 - $157,000 Annual*The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.***Teammate Benefits & Total Well-Being**We go beyond standard benefits, focusing on the total well-being of our teammates, including:* *Health Benefits*: Medical/Rx, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance* *Financial Benefits*: ESPP; 401k; Student Loan Assistance; Tuition Reimbursement* *Mental Health & Wellness*: Free Mental Health & Enhanced Advocacy Services* *Beyond Benefits*: Paid Time Off, Holidays, Preferred Partner Discounts and more.*Not reflective of all benefits.
