Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy civil and highway projects. You will manage crews, subcontractors, and resources to deliver quality results while prioritizing safety and schedule adherence.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil construction with supervisory experience and the ability to relocate or travel as needed. A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. This full-time position offers extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education includes a high school diploma; bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in heavy civil construction with supervisory exposure.
• Knowledge of grading, excavation, paving, and bridge construction.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily field activities, including scheduling, workforce allocation, and equipment management.
• Enforce Zero Harm safety culture and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to meet objectives.
• Monitor progress, quality, and productivity; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Manage material deliveries and inventory to prevent delays.
• Prepare and maintain daily reports and timecards.
• Mentor and develop field staff for a strong team.
