Job summary

Technosoft Engineering in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a senior Structural Engineer/Lead Engineer to design and oversee concrete and steel structures for industrial facilities. You will mentor designers, coordinate with project teams, and ensure design compliance with relevant codes.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of Civil/Structural experience, strong communication, and proficiency in STAAD Pro and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering, specializing in Structures.
• 10+ years engineering experience in structural steel and concrete design of industrial facilities.
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously under time sensitive deadlines.
• Detail oriented, committed to quality.
• Proficient in the use of STAAD Pro or similar structural design and analysis software.
• Knowledge of codes and standards relevant to structural steel and concrete design (AISC 360, ACI 318, ASCE-7, IBC, e.g.)
• Proficient in Microsoft WORD and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with individuals at all levels and clients in a professional manner.
• Prepares and checks concrete and structural steel designs and analyses per project specs and codes.
• Prepares sketches and coordinates with Designers/Drafters for 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Prepares and checks technical reports and specifications.
• Conducts field activities, observations, measurements across environments.
• Acts as Lead Engineer, supervising staff and monitoring budgets and schedules.
• Coordinates tasks with engineers, designers and admin staff.
