Job summary

Technical Solutions Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer in the Pittsburgh, PA area to perform advanced civil/structural engineering assignments related to designing equipment, components, structures or systems.

Responsibilities include creating specifications, performing calculations, reviewing drawings and coordinating with clients, vendors and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have ABET-accredited education, a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and strong communication

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
ABET accreditation preferred.
Civil/Structural background and PE licensing emphasized.
Field and industry experience required.
10+ years experience preferred (senior level).

Responsibilities

Independently prepare specifications detailing performance, components, design codes and vendor drawings.
Prepare sketches, calculations and analysis models for moderately complex projects.
Review vendor drawings for compliance and liaise with clients and vendors.
Visit sites and vendor facilities to assess requirements and conditions.
Lead multi-discipline projects and manage schedules, budgets and resources.
Ensure HSSE compliance and participate in risk management activities.
Develop design guidelines and protocols, and provide technical mentoring.
