Lead Civil Structural Design Engineer

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement project-specific Civil/Structural engineering execution plans.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders for seamless project delivery.
3. Lead and manage the execution of engineering scope during all project phases (Pre-FEED, FEED, Detail Design).
4. Monitor progress, forecast, and control discipline activities and documentation.
5. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents for compliance with standards and regulations.
6. Apply relevant industry codes and standards (AISC, ASCE, ACI) using tools like Staad Pro, RISA, TEKLA, E3D.
7. Conduct reviews and quality checks to ensure design accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
2. At least 10 years of experience in Civil/Structural engineering, preferably in the chemical industry.
3. Minimum 5 years as a lead engineer in large capital projects.
4. Leadership skills to mentor team members.
5. Strong communication skills.
6. Experience leading project teams and understanding project execution stages.
7. Knowledge of safety standards in the chemical industry.
8. Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous.
9. Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
