Job summary

Red Ox Construction is seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to lead field operations across diverse civil construction projects. You will coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to meet schedules, production goals, and safety standards, while fostering teamwork and accountability on site.

The role requires a proven background in heavy civil construction, strong leadership, and the ability to read plans and manage costs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience in earthwork, underground utilities, concrete, bridges, highways.
• Proven ability to lead crews and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, sequencing, production, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all field operations from start to finish.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials with schedules and specs.
• Assign daily tasks to crews to maintain productivity.
• Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce safety requirements.
• Monitor progress and adjust operations to meet timelines.
• Communicate with Project Managers about schedules, budgets, and progress.
• Complete daily documentation including production reports, time sheets, equipment records, and cost tracking.
• Ensure work meets plans, specs, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Foster a strong team culture focused on professionalism, productivity, and safety.
• Lead by example to promote teamwork and quality execution.
