Job summary

The City of Concord seeks a Senior Civil Engineer (Construction Manager) to lead the Engineering Division's inspection team on public works and private development projects. You will oversee construction in the public right-of-way, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with standards, codes, and specifications.

The role requires a PE and extensive experience in managing capital improvement projects, with strong communication and leadership skills for collaboration with City groups and the public.

Qualifications

• Registered PE with extensive construction management experience.
• Knowledge of public works design, inspection, and codes.
• Experience overseeing capital improvement projects and utilities.
• Ability to lead inspection teams and manage right-of-way work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction inspection for private development and city projects.
• Lead and mentor the engineering inspection team in best practices.
• Manage sewer, stormwater, road, and public infrastructure construction.
• Coordinate permits, budgets, schedules, and contract oversight.
