Qualifications

• 10+ years in civil construction; 5+ years in supervisory/superintendent role
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specs
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Working knowledge of project scheduling and resource allocation
• OSHA safety knowledge and site safety best practices
• Proficiency with basic computer tools (email, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Ensure construction work complies with safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Coordinate daily field activities of crews, subcontractors, and vendors to meet schedules
• Monitor progress, productivity, and compliance with specifications
• Read and interpret civil drawings, plans, and specs
• Manage materials, equipment, and manpower needs
• Develop look-ahead schedules and daily work plans
• Provide leadership and direction to field personnel
• Collaborate with project engineers, foremen, QC, and safety teams
• Identify and resolve field conflicts or constructability issues
• Maintain accurate site records (daily reports, timesheets, logs)
• Enforce company policies and safety requirements
