Qualifications

• Must be admitted to the practice of law and in good standing with the Nebraska Supreme Court.
• Experience in municipal legal practices and leadership preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialized legal services for the Civil Division.
• Serve as City Attorney in his/her absence.
• Supervise civil attorneys and oversee Civil Division operations.
• Develop and articulate sound case strategy and analysis; issue legal opinions; draft complex legislation.
• Advise elected officials/directors and negotiate projects.
