Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited College of Law.
• Must be admitted to the practice of law and in good standing with the Nebraska Supreme Court.

Responsibilities

• Protecting the City’s interest in civil litigation cases in State and Federal court as well as before administrative tribunals in civil rights, eminent domain, appeals, tort, worker’s compensation, and collections.
• Drafting City policies, regulations, and legislation.
• Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing contracts and agreements.
• Employment and labor law.
• Advising elected officials, City departments, boards, and commissions.
