Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. is seeking a Service Tech IV – HVAC to serve as a lead technician providing front-line technical support, training, and guidance to other service technicians in the field in Texas.

The role covers inspections, diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and planned maintenance of commercial and residential HVAC systems to ensure performance, efficiency, and safety. You will coordinate work on large projects, train technicians and subcontractors, manage materials, and maintain vehicle

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years HVAC service experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Two-year technical degree.
• Must possess required registrations, licenses, or certifications as required by the position.
• Advanced knowledge of service processes, techniques, and codes is required.
• Knowledge of brand-specific controls (Siemens, Johnson Controls, Distec).
• Proficient in reading complex schematics and prints.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose HVAC system performance through observation, testing, and setup based on trade/position and equipment type/size.
• Coordinate work processes on large projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project specifications and deadlines.
• Perform disassembly and reassembly of equipment for troubleshooting and planned maintenance per service agreements.
• Operate a range of hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to diagnose and maintain HVAC systems.
• Complete service contracts, quoted projects, and respond to demand service calls promptly per company directives.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and explain work performed to customer satisfaction.
• Communicate and document project status to all project stakeholders.
• Serve as lead and front-line resource to service technicians through technical support.
• Coordinate the work of subcontractors, and train and guide technicians.
• Purchase materials and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
• Safely drive a motor vehicle and trailer, adhere to company vehicle policy and safety requirements.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.
