Job summary

Little Stepping Stones Early Learning Center is seeking a Lead Teacher to support Toddlers and Preschoolers. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma and a degree in early childhood education or a related field, with background checks cleared. Experience with two's or preschool is a plus.

Shifts run Monday–Friday, with hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 8:30am to 5:30pm. Compensation ranges from $15 to $19 per hour, depending on education and experience.

• Associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education, psychology, or related field.
• Experience with two's or preschool is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare developmentally appropriate weekly lesson plans using current curriculum guides.
• Implement weekly lesson plans across all areas of child development and follow classroom schedule.
• Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care.
• Maintain safety and well-being of children and keep a clean, organized classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios; conduct biannual parent-teacher conferences.
• Demonstrate physical ability to work with young children and lift up to 40 lbs.

Little Stepping Stones is a licensed childcare center seeking a Lead Teacher to support the following age groups:

• Toddlers
• Preschool

To be QUALIFIED for the Lead Teacher opportunity, we require a high school diploma and the ability to pass all background checks. We also require an associate or a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, psychology, or a related field. A plus if you have previous childcare experience and experience working with two's or preschool!

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm OR 8:30am - 5:30pm

Compensation: $15-$19 per hour, based on education and experience

Our Hiring Process for Lead Preschool Teachers:

Main Job Responsibilities for Lead Preschool Teachers:

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carryout lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Useour parent communication appefficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; andmaintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintaina child assessment and portfoliofor each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
