Responsibilities

Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment with supervision and daily class functions for a group of children.
Ensure adherence to all rules and regulations from regulatory agencies relating to health and safety of children.
Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule per the academy curriculum.
Keep the classroom attractive, well-kept, and encouraging of children's creativity and exploration.
Provide verbal recognition and set clear, consistent behavior expectations.
Attend staff meetings, workshops, and school functions as required.
Assist in other capacities as needed.
Be knowledgeable about social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
Be able to lift up to 35 lbs for activities and safety.

Duties

Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment by providing supervision and daily class functions for a group of children.
Ensure adherence to all rules and regulations at Chroma Early Learning Academy and the local, state, or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children.
Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Chroma Early Learning Academy curriculum and programming.
Keep the classroom attractive, well-kept, and encouraging of children's creativity, exploration, and decision-making.
Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children, while setting clear and consistent expectations for their behavior.
Take responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds.
Attend all required staff meetings, workshops, and school functions.
Adhere to professional personal appearance, as outlined in the Chroma Early Learning Academy Employee Handbook.
Assist in other capacities as needed.
Be knowledgeable about the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
Be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
