Chroma Early Learning Academy is seeking a Lead Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging environment for young children. You will implement educational programs and collaborate closely with families and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes for students.

The role requires strong knowledge of child development, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a passion for helping children succeed. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Alpharetta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily class functions for a group of children.

• Provide positive reinforcement and clear expectations for behavior.
• Handle classroom housekeeping duties and manage common areas and playgrounds.
• Attend staff meetings, workshops, and school events as required.
• Adhere to professional appearance guidelines in the Employee Handbook.
• Support other capacities as needed.
• Understand social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs for child safety and program activities.

About This Role

Chroma Early Learning Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging environment for children, implement educational programs, and work closely with families and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for our students. This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young children while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children
• Observes all rules and regulations at Chroma Early Learning Academy and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children
• Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Chroma Early Learning Academy curriculum and programming
• Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence
• Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior
• Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds
• Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions
• Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Chroma Early Learning Academy Employee Handbook
• Assists in other capacities as necessary
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
