The Department of Children and Families seeks a Senior Child Protective Investigator to conduct investigations of alleged abuse and neglect and to work with families to determine interventions. You will act as an individual contributor and model best practices in child protection, documenting findings and coordinating with partners across law enforcement, courts, and service providers.

The role requires relevant certifications, driver license, and ability to travel; you will engage with DCF

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED is required with relevant experience.
• AA degree or 60+ credit hours plus two years of professional work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field is preferred.
• Current Florida Child Welfare Certification credentials are required.

Aufgaben

• Conduct investigations regarding allegations of abuse, neglect, abandonment and/or special conditions for children.
• Interview children, parents, relatives, neighbors, and other parties involved in the case.
• Develop case plans with families and provide testimony in court when needed.
• Maintain thorough documentation in client records and related systems.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, courts, and service providers to ensure safety and protection.
