The role oversees the Child Care Compliance team, develops regional policies, and ensures alignment with state and federal regulations to protect children in care facilities. Requires a Bachelor’s or higher with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 15 earned credit hours in elementary or early education, sociology, psychology, child development, social work, or related field, plus 2+ years in child care licensing or related areas.
• Associate’s Degree with 6 earned credit hours in related fields plus 4+ years in elementary/early childhood education or child care settings.
• 4+ years of experience in child care licensing or early childhood education plus high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team members in the Child Care Compliance section.
• Develop and implement regional policies and procedures.
• Review and explain state laws and regulations to regional staff and stakeholders.
• Understand and apply federal laws and guidance for child care facilities.
• Collaborate across offices to ensure consistent inspection processes statewide.
• Develop and oversee rules affecting child care facilities.
• Oversee professional development for regional staff.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance.
