Job summary

The Department of Social Services – Children’s Division in Missouri is seeking qualified candidates to deliver protective services, conduct case management, and coordinate foster care and adoption cases. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field is preferred.
• High School Diploma with nine+ years of experience in protective services as described in the minimum qualifications.
• Combination of earned college credits substituting for experience is allowed; 30 credits ≈ 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs and participates in delivering social services in adoption, child abuse/neglect, protective services, foster care, and related areas.
• Receives referrals from juvenile courts, hotlines, or staff for protection and care of at-risk children.
• Performs detailed case studies, evaluates social, economic and environmental factors, and makes treatment and placement recommendations.
• Performs diagnostic and assessment services to aid staff in treatment and service planning.
• Attends court hearings and meetings related to assigned casework.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field

High School Diploma + 9+ years of experience in protective services
