Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Rockaway, NJ is seeking an Area Director to oversee multiple child care centers, partner with directors, and ensure quality aligned with BrightPath standards.

You will recruit and develop staff, manage policies, ensure safety and licensing compliance, and drive improvements across sites while maintaining exceptional service for families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
• 5+ years of childcare or teaching experience.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to supervise others.
• Must be able to function independently within the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet State criteria for childcare employment.

Responsibilities

• Address parent complaints and concerns related to education/classroom programs
• Direct supervision of Center Directors and oversee training, management style, and staff supervision
• Ensure centers are in compliance with state safety, licensing and quality educational standards
• Oversee site appearance, equipment, and facilities
• Implement Crisis Management Plan as needed
• Review surveys and implement improvement plans
• Provide training on new policies to administration and staff
