Winchester Gardens, a Springpoint Senior Living Community in Maplewood, NJ, seeks an experienced Chef to lead its kitchen operations. The Chef will direct, coordinate and evaluate kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality, safely prepared meals and adherence to recipes and timelines.

Responsibilities include supervising cooks and hourly staff, managing schedules and payroll, and maintaining sanitation and inventory.

Competenze

• Prior professional culinary experience is required, preferably with at least three years of experience in an à la carte dining environment.

Mansioni

• Direct, coordinate and evaluate kitchen, food production and food-service staff.
• Supervise cooks and hourly kitchen associates; interview, schedule, payroll, training and reviews.
• Prepare high-quality food items per recipes; ensure proper serving temperatures and presentation.
• Track food usage, waste and inventory; requisition supplies as needed.
• Maintain sanitation of equipment, utensils and workstations; ensure safety standards.
