Compass Group USA is hiring a full-time Chef in East Peoria, IL at Caterpillar LL. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. Requires at least 2 years of back-of-house experience; new culinary graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates and evaluates assigned kitchen, food production and food-service associates.
• Supervises cooks and associates, ensuring food handling, sanitation and customer service standards.
• Schedules, payroll, training and performance reviews for hourly kitchen staff.
• Prepares high-quality food items according to recipes to meet production and service schedules.
• Ensures proper presentation, food quality and serving temperatures.
• Manages inventory: tracks usage, waste and procurement needs.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment and work areas; keeps displays clean during service.
• Assists in recipe and menu development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
