Job summary

MercyOne Genesis Hospice Care is seeking a Part-time Charge RN to plan, coordinate and evaluate hospice services delivered in home, nursing home or assisted living settings. You will provide safe, culturally competent, family-centered care for terminally ill patients and offer clinical direction to the support staff.

Required: a 4-year nursing degree, Iowa or Illinois RN license (second state within 6 months), BLS, and 3+ years of experience. Hospice/Palliative care certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in Iowa or Illinois at time of hire; second state within six months.
• BLS certification required.
• More than 3 years of experience.
• 4-year nursing degree or equivalent experience.
• Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and evaluate the delivery of hospice services for patients in home/nursing home/assisted living facilities.
• Assure safe, culturally competent, family-based, holistic care for terminally ill patients.
• Provide clinical direction and feedback to support staff; assist supervisor with budgeting, onboarding, policy compliance, and performance improvement.
• Support regulatory readiness and data collection; participate in program development as needed.
