Job summary

The Healthcare Center at Buck Creek seeks a Charge Nurse to lead nursing care on the assigned unit and support the Director of Nursing, ensuring high-quality resident care 24/7. This position requires a current RN or LPN license and CPR certification.

Knowledge of state nursing regulations is preferred, with strong communication, organizational skills, and supervisory abilities essential for coordinating care and managing staff in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Current state license as RN or LPN.
• CPR certification required.
• One year of long-term care nursing experience is desired (not required).
• Knowledge of applicable state nursing regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess Residents’ conditions and develop care plans; document observations in EMR and follow Care Plans.
• Perform rounds with a physician; observe symptoms and intervene as needed.
• Administer medications within regulatory standards and notify appropriate personnel of contraindications.
• Supervise CNAs and ensure smooth shift operations and high-quality resident care.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and scheduling; assist with supplies and equipment.
