Job summary

Ohio Living is seeking a Charge Nurse - LPN to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) in accordance with company standards and regulations, ensuring the highest quality of resident care.

You will participate in interdisciplinary care planning, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and families to adjust plans as needed, while leading the nursing team with accountability and compassion.

Qualifications

Current unencumbered Ohio LPN license.
One year of clinical experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or related healthcare setting preferred.
Supervisory experience in a long-term care, hospital, or related healthcare setting preferred.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

Directs the day-to-day nursing activities of the CNAs.
Assists in coordinating nursing services to ensure continuity of resident care.
Administers medications and treatments per physician orders and nursing standards.
Represents the nursing department in Interdisciplinary Care Plan meetings.
Participates in committee meetings and staff development activities.
Admits, transfers and discharges residents as necessary.
Works with Unit Manager to reduce hospital readmissions.
Ensures compliance with facility policies and quality of care.
