Job summary

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital in Missouri is seeking an experienced RN for a full-time, day-shift role in a 102-bed cardiac telemetry unit.

You will provide direct patient care and serve as a clinical resource while aligning with the BJC RN Career Ladder to advance your career. Candidates must have 2–5 years of RN experience, RN license, and a nursing diploma or associate degree; a BSN is preferred with 5–10 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Provides direct patient care on a cardiac telemetry unit.
• Supports nursing process and documentation.
• Demonstrates leadership within the shift.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate gaps in care from hospitalization to ambulatory care; assess data to mitigate changes and establish consults.
• Lead development and implementation of complex care plans with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family.
• Promote evidence-based practice; participate in journal clubs and apply new knowledge at the unit level.
• Analyze practice gaps and provide feedback to improve safety and care quality.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe operation at all times.
