Qualifications

• Master's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and thermal testing in lab or industry.
• Ability to independently solve problems with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Effective communication across diverse teams.
• Working knowledge of statistical methods.
• Commitment to safe laboratory practices.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned mechanical and thermal characterization equipment and methods.
• Develop, optimize, validate, document, and execute analytical methods independently.
• Operate, maintain, qualify, and troubleshoot equipment with QA practices.
• Interpret method performance and communicate findings clearly.
• Design experiments to support product development and manufacturing needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve method capability and data quality.
• Resolve equipment and method problems and consult experts when needed.
• Maintain procedures, reports, records, and notebooks; provide training as needed.
• Use JMP or Minitab to support data-driven decisions.
• Communicate findings to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Work safely in R&D and participate in safety programs.
