Qnity in Newark, Delaware seeks a highly motivated Technologist to join the Advanced Characterization Group. You will lead mechanical and thermal characterization, develop and optimize analytical methods, and own equipment with minimal supervision.

Collaborate with scientists and engineers to support product development and manufacturing challenges. The role emphasizes independent method development, data analysis, and clear technical communication within an R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on mechanical and thermal testing experience in industry, academia, or internships.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams.
• Working knowledge of statistical methods.

Responsabilités

• Serve as technical owner for assigned mechanical and thermal characterization equipment and methods.
• Develop, optimize, validate, document, and execute analytical methods with minimal supervision.
• Operate, maintain, qualify, and troubleshoot analytical equipment with quality-control focus.
• Interpret method performance, identify trends, and communicate findings and recommendations.
• Design and execute experiments to support product development and manufacturing challenges.
• Improve method capability, efficiency, data quality, and equipment reliability.
• Provide training on methods or equipment as needed.
• Support data-driven decisions using statistical tools and analysis.
