Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer in Glasgow, KY to serve as the SME for CFD/FEA analysis across data center products, including AHUs and manifolds. You will drive simulation-led design choices and support product development with data-driven recommendations.

Responsibilities include leading CFD/FEA for cooling systems, collaborating with design teams, and translating results for customer-facing engineering and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (required).
• Hands-on experience with CFD/FEA tools Applied to HVAC and thermal-fluid systems for data centers or related industry.
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, HVAC systems, and structural mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary SME for CFD and FEA analysis across product platforms.
• Perform CFD simulations for airflow, pressure drop, and thermal performance of cooling manifolds and AHUs.
• Conduct FEA simulations for structural integrity, vibration, fatigue, and thermal stress; optimize materials for manufacturability and cost.
