Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a CFD Analyst- Mechanical Engineer to analyze building infrastructure, power and cooling systems, ensuring critical facilities run 24/7. The role sits within kW Mission Critical Engineering and supports projects across multiple US offices including New York, Troy, Atlanta, Milwaukee, Tempe, and Herndon.

You will apply CFD tools to model indoor/outdoor flows, thermal comfort, and condensation controls, develop best practices, and communicate results to design teams and clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledgeable in CFD, thermodynamics, heat transfer and building mechanical systems.
  • Ability to deliver quality work within deadlines.
  • Preferred experience with CFD software and programming.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize CFD tools to model indoor/outdoor building flows, thermal comfort, and condensation controls.
  • Develop and improve analytical capabilities, automate processes, and streamline workflows.
  • Maintain knowledge of computational fluids research in building mechanical engineering.
  • Document, report, and present engineering solutions to design teams and clients.
  • Work independently while coordinating with other disciplines and project managers.
