HCA Healthcare is seeking a Lead Certified Surgical Technologist to guide the OR team and ensure the safest surgical care. You will lead preparation, scrub in for complex cardiac procedures, and mentor junior technologists in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• CST certification is required.
• 2 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leading surgical preparation by organizing suites, equipment, and instruments to ensure readiness for every procedure.
• Scrubbing in and supporting surgeons through complex cardiac surgeries, anticipating needs and maintaining a safe, sterile environment.
• Guiding and mentoring surgical technologists, serving as a role model while training new team members and reinforcing best practices.
• Overseeing quality and safety by managing counts, handling specimens, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention standards.
• Driving teamwork and efficiency through effective communication, rapid problem-solving, and support for on-call and emergency cases.
