Job summary

Kings View Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor for its Sonora DUI treatment program. You will provide individual and group counseling, conduct assessments, manage treatment plans, and mentor counseling staff under the Clinical Supervisor.

The role emphasizes clinical leadership, documentation accuracy, and program compliance, with day-to-day operations support and collaboration with partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Three years of direct SUD counseling experience in a licensed or regulated setting.
• Current alcohol and drug counselor certification recognized by California DHCS.
• BBS registration as listed in the job description.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license and driving eligibility.
• Maintain required certification and abstinence history if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling, case management, education, and referrals.
• Assess needs and develop individualized treatment plans with regular reviews.
• Facilitate intake, orientation, and document results from testing as required.
• Prepare progress reports and coordinate with referred agencies and CJ partners.
• Recommend participant status actions per program requirements.
