Job summary

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is seeking a Certified Lead Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. You will oversee sterile processing, ensure instruments are clean, sterile, and ready for procedures, and guide colleagues to maintain safety and quality.

You will lead a dedicated team, train associates, and implement updated equipment and techniques to support efficient OR operations and patient care throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Certified Sterile Processing Technician certification (CSPDT) or CRCST.
• Experience leading a sterile processing team.
• Ability to maintain detailed sterilization records and logs.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays to ensure readiness for patient care.
• Operating and maintaining sterilization equipment, recording cycles and safety checks.
• Preparing surgical sets and case carts based on daily schedules and instrument needs.
• Managing inventory and organizing supplies in OR storage areas, coordinating with the surgical team.
• Leading and training the Sterile Processing team, sharing updates on new equipment and processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays to ensure every tool works properly and is ready for patient care
• Operating and maintaining sterilization equipment, while keeping detailed records of sterilization cycles, safety checks, and quality standards
• Preparing surgical sets and case carts by reviewing daily schedules and gathering the right instruments and supplies for each procedure
• Managing inventory, organizing supplies in OR storage areas, and working closely with the surgical team to help keep surgeries run smoothly and on time
• Leading and training the Sterile Processing team, sharing updates on new equipment and processes, and setting a positive example to support a safe, high-quality environment where teamwork thrives

What qualifications you will need:

• (CSPDT) Cert Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician, or (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician
