Job summary

HCA Florida Blake Hospital is seeking a Lead Central Sterile Technician to ensure surgical instruments are cleaned, sterilized and ready for use, while leading the team by example and upholding infection control standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of sterilization supplies and instruments, 1–2 years of experience with lead or supervisory duties, and current CBSPD or HSPA certification. Must lift up to 100 lb.

• Organizing instruments and equipment based on surgery schedules and special case needs.
• Monitoring sterilization processes and equipment performance, keeping accurate records, and promptly reporting any issues.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and stocked workspace that supports the team and upholds the highest infection control standards.
• Training and supporting team members to work safely, follow best practices, and care for every patient like family.
