HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is seeking a Certified Lead Sterile Processing Technician to ensure the cleanliness and reliability of surgical instruments. The role involves training team members, managing inventory, and preparing surgical sets, thereby contributing to patient safety.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year’s experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays.
• Operating and maintaining sterilization equipment and keeping detailed records.
• Preparing surgical sets and case carts by reviewing daily schedules.
• Managing inventory and organizing supplies in OR storage areas.
• Leading and training the Sterile Processing team.

As a Certified Lead Sterile Processing Technician, you will be a safety expert and trusted leader on our team. You will use precision and skills to keep every surgical instrument and supply clean, reliable, and ready. You will share your knowledge and guide colleagues, creating a safe, efficient environment where patients’ lives are improved.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays.
• Operating and maintaining sterilization equipment and keeping detailed records of sterilization cycles.
• Preparing surgical sets and case carts by reviewing daily schedules.
• Managing inventory and organizing supplies in OR storage areas, and working closely with the surgical team to keep surgeries on time.
• Leading and training the Sterile Processing team, sharing updates on new equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or CBSPD.
• High School Graduate / GED.
• At least 1 year’s experience.
• Knowledge of CensiTrac and SPM systems.
