Job summary

Portsmouth Regional Hospital - New Hampshire is seeking a Central Sterile Processing Technician to ensure safe, high-quality surgical care. You will focus on cleaning, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments, playing a vital role in supporting efficient surgeries.

Qualifications

  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) must be obtained within 2 years.
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) must be obtained within 2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Monitor sterilization cycles, document results, resolve issues promptly.
  • Prepare and organize instrument trays and surgical rooms.
  • Handle and dispose of biohazardous materials safely.
  • Work closely with nurses and surgeons to support surgeries.

Job Summary

As a Central Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, high‑quality surgical care by ensuring every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and supports a team committed to improving human life—one surgery at a time.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
  • Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high‑quality care.
  • Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs.
  • Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
  • Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries.
Qualifications
  • (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date.
  • (CSPDT) Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date.
  • High School Graduate / GED.
