Abrazo Arrowhead Campus Hospital in Glendale, AZ seeks a Central Sterile Processing Technician to coordinate, train and mentor CSPD staff. You will support decontamination and sterile processing, ensure instrument readiness for operating rooms, and monitor sterilizers with regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read in English to follow oral and/or written instructions.
• Must perform repetitive duties daily, be detail minded and organized.
• Must be self-motivated and able to coordinate and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to changes in workload and schedule.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Thorough knowledge of instrumentation, equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates, cleans and processes items according to established standards.
• Utilizes equipment in the sterile processing environment according to manufacturer\'s guidelines.
• Inspects and assembles instrument trays, replacing broken or lost instruments as needed.
• Coordinates the schedule and efforts of the Central Sterile Processing Techs; trains and mentors CSPD Techs.
• Performs sterility assurance testing to meet regulatory requirements.
• Completes documentation of the sterilization process accurately to meet regulatory standards and tracking needs.
• Maintains a safe working environment and prioritizes duties by deadlines.
• Attends staff meetings and department activities as assigned.
