Job summary

DRMP is seeking a CEI Inspector in the Tampa area to perform complex field surveying, construction layout, and inspections. You will check engineering computations, coordinate with field personnel, and manage lower-level inspectors while maintaining daily logs and material sampling.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of DOT roadway/bridge experience, CTQP certifications, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work 40+ hours per week with possible overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 4+ years of DOT roadway/bridge construction experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
• CTQP certifications listed above are required.
• Position requires 40+ hours per week with potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Daily documentation of contractor’s work efforts.
• Project coordination with field personnel and utility owners.
• Prepare and maintain project field books and density logs.
• Collect and document material samples for testing.
• Assist with Final Estimate package preparation.
• Measure distances to verify dimensions of construction activity.
• Verify levels, alignment, and elevations of installations.
• Observe work to ensure procedures and materials meet specs.
• Record quantities and maintain daily construction/inspection logs.
• Support Roadway, Bridge, Segmental, Survey, and Environmental teams.
