Job summary

Lochner is seeking an experienced CEI Inspector for Fort Myers, FL. The role requires supervising inspectors, reviewing activities with contractor supervision, and ensuring quality across road and bridge DOT projects.

Proficiency in reading plans, specs, and contract language is essential. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of CEI/construction experience, strong reporting skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• 7+ years CEI and construction experience on road/bridge DOT projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contract language.
• Strong report writing and data analysis skills.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inspectors and monitor quality/performance.
• Review project activities with contractor supervision to resolve issues.
• Read and interpret contract plans, specifications, and language.
• Document material testing and acceptance.
• Lead a team of inspectors and coordinate responses to RFIs and submittals.
• Support safety, schedules, and project communication.
