Job summary

You will monitor progress, verify compliance with plans and FDOT requirements, and prepare detailed daily reports while mentoring junior inspectors. Required: 4+ years of inspection experience or 2+ years in bridge/roadway projects; CTQP certifications (Concrete Field Inspector Level 1, Pile Driving, MOT).

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of construction inspection experience, or
• Minimum 2 years of bridge and/or roadway constructions experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect roadway and bridge construction activities to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and FDOT requirements.
• Prepare detailed daily reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Monitor construction progress and document quantities, materials, and workmanship.
• Identify and report deficiencies, discrepancies, or potential issues to the CEI Senior Inspector.
• Ensure contractors adhere to project standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
• Assist with final estimates, record keeping, and project closeout documentation.
