Job summary

Metric Engineering, Inc. in Pensacola, FL seeks a CEI Inspector to monitor roadway and bridge work, verify adherence to contracts, and document daily progress. The role requires documenting quantities, communicating findings, and coordinating with the CEI Senior Inspector.

Candidates should have 2+ years in construction inspection (or 1+ year in bridge/roadway work) and hold CTQP/IMSA certifications. Excellent English communication is required. EOE.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of construction inspection experience, or minimum of 1 year of bridge/roadway construction experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect roadway and bridge construction activities to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and FDOT requirements.
• Prepare detailed daily reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Monitor construction progress and document quantities, materials, and workmanship.
• Identify and report deficiencies, discrepancies, or potential issues to the CEI Senior Inspector.
• Ensure contractors adhere to project standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
• Assist with final estimates, record keeping, and project closeout documentation.
