Job summary

Cuyahoga Community College seeks a full-time CDL Training Instructor to support full CDL programs and the State CDL Testing Center. You will provide hands-on training, supervise CDL testing as needed, and maintain student records, contributing to the Transportation Innovation Center's success.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, a valid CDL Class A license, and State certifications as an instructor and examiner or time to obtain them, with strong organizational and communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; significant related experience may substitute.
• Must have current CDL Class A license with all endorsements except Hazardous Materials.
• Must be a licensed CDL Instructor by the Ohio Driver Training Office (with Training Manager Endorsement).
• Must be certified by the State of Ohio as a CDL Examiner or obtain certification within a reasonable period of time as agreed.

Responsibilities

• Assist CDL Training Specialist in daily instruction across CDL programs.
• Support the State CDL Testing Center as a State Certified CDL Examiner when required.
• Provide guidance and feedback to CDL students and testing candidates.
• Maintain accurate student records and CDL testing outcomes.
• Provide program support for Transportation and Logistics Training Center.
