Job summary

Owens Community College is seeking a qualified Truck Driving Instructor to lead non-credit, short-term training programs. The role requires a valid, infraction-free CDLA for a minimum of three years, as well as experience in teaching or supervising.

Instructors will teach students about safe operation practices for CDL vehicles, including both manual and automatic tractor-trailers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Must have held a valid, infraction-free CDLA for at least three years.
• Experience and training as an instructor is a bonus.
• Mechanical knowledge valued but not required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in safe operation of CDLA tractor-trailer combinations.
• Lead students in classroom and skills pad maneuvers.
