Job summary

Daniels Health is hiring a Lead Class A Driver for our Gardena, CA facility. The role involves supervising the transport team, handling medical waste containers, and operating trucks up to 53 feet.

The position is a second shift with 6 PM to 2 AM hours and offers direct hire, full-time benefits. Required: Class A CDL with a clean record, valid DOT medical card, and at least 1 year of lead experience; 3 years driving experience on large straight trucks/tractor trailers; DOT clearinghouse

Qualifications

• 1+ years of previous lead experience is needed.
• Class A license with a clean driving record and a valid DOT medical card.
• Minimum 3 years experience operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53 ft.
• Passing the 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections.

• Manages a route per business needs; delivers timely, efficient service.
• Complies with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections.

We are looking to hire a Lead Class A Driver for our Daniels’medical waste treatment facility in Gardena CA. A Lead has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal Plant Operator Lead is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.

What will your job involve?

• Supervises transport team and ensures all deliveries are made in a timely manner
• Enforces a high standard of customer service and outstanding attention to detail with all deliveries

What are we looking for?

• 1 + years of previous lead experience is NEEDED
• Class A license with a clean driving record and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD
• Minimum 3 years experience operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53f
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Proven longevity in past employment
