Job summary

Experis Austria is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer for a Fortune 500 client in Plymouth, MN. This 12‑month, on-site role focuses on catheter manufacturing, yield improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure compliant, scalable production.

The candidate will lead process improvements, support NPI and tech transfer, and mentor junior engineers while working with Quality, R&D, and Operations to deliver reliable manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, or related engineering discipline or equivalent technical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in manufacturing or process development.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capability within team-based environments.
• Ability to lead and motivate peers, drive change, and approach problems creatively and pragmatically.
• Ability to travel, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead yield improvement initiatives across catheter manufacturing processes (reflow, stringing, assembly, soldering, bonding, packaging).
• Apply DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis, and A3 to resolve issues and improve process capability and robustness.
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, variation, and opportunities for cost, quality, and throughput improvements.
• Serve as a technical SME in catheter manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
• Coordinate design, procurement, build, and debugging of tooling, machinery, and test equipment.
• Support NPI, process scale up, and technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Quality, Process Development, R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, and Regulatory teams to ensure successful launches and sustained performance.
• Provide technical guidance during investigations, process development, and continuous improvement activities.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and technicians; lead cross-functional project teams and drive deliverables.
