Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to lead in the absence of the Store Manager, provide superior customer service, and help maximize profitability while protecting assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, merchandising, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean, safe store. This role supports store operations and may open or close the store under Area Manager direction.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsabilités

• Unload trucks according to store procedures.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Order zones and drop shipment categories per Manager.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Greet customers entering the store.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Open/close the store under Area Manager direction.
