Job summary

Wegmans is seeking a Front End teammate to ensure smooth store operations and provide exceptional service to customers as they exit the store. If you have an outgoing personality and leadership potential, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team.

You will proactively assist customers, support cashiers, and help manage checkout lanes to minimize wait times, while upholding Wegmans' standards of service.

Qualifications

• Service Desk experience.
• Work Environment: light to medium physical demands; standing and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally; may be exposed to allergens.

Managerial/supervisory experience living our values and achieving results in our 5 measures; Customer service experience preferably in a food service, restaurant, grocery or retail setting; Service Desk experience; Work Environment: he physical demands of this work are classified as light to medium. Work includes repetitive hand and arm movements, lifting, standing and walking for up to 4 hours without a break, occasional bending, frequent reaching, moving, and lifting, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. May be asked to work at cash register station (see Cashier). The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 12 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds occasionally. You may receive assistance with heavy items, if available. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is indoors with exposure to seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. Basic tools and equipment used include cash register, scan gun, shopping bags and bagging fixtures, common office equipment, and shopping carts and baskets.
