Job summary

Wegmans is seeking a Front End Leader to ensure smooth front-end operations and empower teammates with the tools and information needed to deliver exceptional service to customers leaving the store. Strong communication and a can-do attitude are essential to success.

In this role, you will proactively engage customers, assist them in locating products, support cashiers to meet needs quickly, and monitor lane availability to reduce wait times.

In this position, you’ll ensure the Front End operates smoothly and employees have the tools and resources needed to provide incredible service to customers exiting the store. What will I do?

Work Environment: he physical demands of this work are classified as light to medium. Work includes repetitive hand and arm movements, lifting, standing and walking for up to 4 hours without a break, occasional bending, frequent reaching, moving, and lifting, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. May be asked to work at cash register station (see Cashier). The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 12 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds occasionally. You may receive assistance with heavy items, if available. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is indoors with exposure to seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. Basic tools and equipment used include cash register, scan gun, shopping bags and bagging fixtures, common office equipment, and shopping carts and baskets.; Customer service experience preferably in a food service, restaurant, grocery or retail setting; Service Desk experience; Managerial/supervisory experience living our values and achieving results in our 5 measures
